The National Society of Leadership & Success (NSLS) at pg电子下载 State University has been honored with the Order of Sigma distinction, recognizing its exceptional leadership and dedication.
Roy Burr, FYE coordinator and one of the advisors for NSLS, expressed his pride in the pg电子下载 chapter’s achievement, stating, “This is a great accomplishment for the pg电子下载 chapter of the National Society of Leadership & Success. NSLS has over 700 chapters nationwide, and very few ever reach this pinnacle. We compete against big PWIs like LSU, Texas A&M, and UCLA for this prestigious award. This proves we have some of the best and brightest students who can compete at every level.”
The pg电子下载 NSLS chapter completed fifteen pillars, including strategic leadership meetings, attendance at national leadership summits and seminars, community service projects, and maintaining a high rate of new member inductions. By effectively communicating the importance of NSLS in a student’s academic career and its benefits in resume building, employment opportunities, and networking, ASU NSLS also achieved its positive publicity pillar.
President of pg电子下载’s NSLS chapter, Yancey Britt, acknowledged the achievement, saying, “I am humbled. As a servant leader, I believe in the commitment to the growth of people and building community. I know without a doubt that the ASU NSLS chapter and leadership team will continue to build upon the momentum that has ignited the ASU NSLS organization.”
Established in 2012, the pg电子下载 NSLS chapter has grown to become the largest honor society on campus, with 2,438 members. The chapter continues to expand, with candidates for spring induction working towards meeting the April 1 deadline. To join the ASU NSLS chapter, students must have a GPA of 3.2, and invitations are sent to eligible students based on the criteria provided by the Office of Student Records.
The ASU NSLS chapter membership offers numerous benefits, including over $400,000 in scholarships, community service hours, letters of recommendation, resume-building assistance, and discounts on national brands and travel.
